Project Description

East Gate shopping center hosts some of the most exclusive shops in the Johannesburg metropolitan area as well as in all of South Africa. The center has over 5,500 parking spaces in many different locations. This layout led to some confusion to motorists on where to park. The center decided to deploy an Intelligent Parking Guidance System to make finding a parking space easier for their clients.

They have started with installing a pilot system in one of the busy areas in the parking facility. This project monitors 70 individual parking spaces and displays availability information on 4 internal VMS signs. This project included supplying, installation and support of intelligent parking devices and software.
